In a grand spectacular at The Grand Opera House, The Music School of Delaware’s exceptional ensembles will perform “center stage” in one exciting concert. Over 200 student and adult musicians in more than 10 chamber music, choral and orchestral ensembles will perform in this fast-paced, collaborative concert featuring Delaware's finest student and amateur musicians.

The mainstage concert includes works by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Haydn, Mussorgsky, John Rutter, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Michael Larkin and much more. Featured ensembles include Suzuki Academy violin students, the First State Youth Orchestra, Delaware Youth Orchestra, Delaware Youth Symphony, Wilmington Community Orchestra, Wilmington Youth Chorale, Delaware Children's Chorus, Select Choral Ensemble and Delaware Women's Chorus. Prior to the main stage concert, a Rising Stars recital in the baby grand will feature Music School students selected for their excellence in performing. During intermission, the Brandywine Fiddlers and Matson Run Pickers will make everyone's feet stomp with traditional bluegrass and fiddle tunes. In addition, winners of MusicBuild 2011 and the David Bromberg String Prizes will be announced.

Founded in 1924, The Music School of Delaware reaches thousands of people from Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland through its instructional programs and 75 public performances each year. The Music School is the only nationally accredited program of its kind in Delaware and is the only statewide accredited community music school in the nation. The Music School offers standard-setting instructional programs for all ages including the Early Childhood program, Suzuki Academy, private study and ensembles. A faculty of nearly 100 expert artists and educators are among the best-trained musicians in the country. Open to all, the school administers a financial assistance program to help ensure music excellence for everyone, regardless of financial means.
