The Music School of Delaware Announces New Summer Programs

WILMINGTON, Del. - The Music School of Delaware offers a wide range of summer programs at its Wilmington and Milford branch locations including private study, camps, classes and workshops for students of all ages – 6 weeks to adult. This summer the Music School introduces several new programs including an Instrument Introduction Program, ages 7 & up. This flexible program offers students the opportunity to try a new instrument without a long-term commitment. Other new programs include Choral Arts Week featuring Sing Joyfully!, ages 7 to 12 & Summer Sing for Young Adults, ages 12 to 18; Summer Piano Institute, ages 9 to 18; New Group Piano Sessions, ages 6 to adult; Beginning Steel Band, ages 14 to adult; and Introduction to Creative Music, Improvisation & Composition, ages 9 to 12.
Popular Music School programs returning this summer are Young Child & Kindermusik® camps, Instrumental Sampler, Delaware Orchestral and Chamber Music Institute, Youth String Camp, Flutefest!, Piano Samplers, Drama & Musical Theatre Workshop, Summer Garage Band and more! Founded in 1924, The Music School of Delaware reaches thousands of people from Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland through its instructional programs and 75 public performances each year. The Music School is the only nationally accredited program of its kind in Delaware and is the only statewide accredited community music school in the nation. The Music School offers standard-setting instructional programs for all ages including the Early Childhood program, Suzuki Academy, private study and ensembles. A faculty of nearly 100 expert artists and educators are among the best-trained musicians in the country.
